Our community is  standing up against a proposed hotel in Benedict Canyon, with its application calling for over 25 buildings and parking for over 250 vehicles.  This hotel would mean years of construction, massive upheaval to our quality of life, endless traffic, irrevocable environmental destruction, and an unprecedented change to the zoning of the Santa Monica Mountains.

Right now, expensive lobbyists are campaigning to change our zoning and get this commercial development built.  Despite overwhelming community opposition, Councilman Paul Koretz still has not taken a position alongside his constituents against this egregious project.

In order to stop the hotel, Save Our Canyon needs your support right now to hire experienced lawyers, land use specialists, and media consultants -- as well as experts in pollution, traffic, safety and every aspect of the environment.  We are bracing for a long and challenging fight, and we will need not only your commitment but your dollars to be successful in Saving Our Canyon.
